OUR STORY
KAVVA Brands begins with our founder and owner, Jon Kelley, a third–generation farmer from Bartlesville, OK.
In 2017, Jon decided to stop farming wheat and soybeans. Farming expenses were beginning to get too high as crop prices continued to plummet. But farming is in Jon’s blood and he just couldn’t see himself not farming at all, so he decided to take a chance at cultivating cannabis. Brown Dog Farms was established when Jon turned to his good friend to help lead the outdoor grown operation. With a passion for growing and a deep understanding of the land, the two dedicated themselves to nurturing several strains of cannabis on 3 acres.
After months of hard work and dedication, Jon was able to extract the oil from his cannabis crop and create KAVVA Extracts, a seed-to-shelf product in the form of vape cartridges and sugar concentrates. Those THC products are proudly made with locally sourced ingredients and manufactured right here in Oklahoma.
OUR Mission
We truly care about our community, which is how KAVVA Cares came about. It all started after Edmond, OK Police Officer, CJ Nelson, was killed during the summer of 2022 by an intoxicated driver in which Jon was witness to. He had an overwhelming urge to do something to help – hence KAVVA Cares. This newly formed charity was able to help raise funds for the fallen Edmond police officer by auctioning off a custom painting of the John Daly / Tiger Woods viral meme, created by local artist, Jon Lindbloom. KAVVA Cares is an OKC charity focused on veterans, first responders and people with rare medical conditions.
